At Mercury we take confidentiality and data security very seriously.
It’s why we implemented a document protection service covering both our internal processes and our information systems (IT infrastructure).
This confidentiality protection extends from the moment we receive your documents to the delivery of your translated document and beyond.

Compliant to information security standard ISO 27001, our document protection service assures confidentiality through multiple levels:

Non-disclosure agreements

All our translators and reviewers are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement. This ensures that they are legally obligated to maintain the confidentiality of your documents and private information.

All our outgoing e-mail messages are digitally signed by our encryption key.
The digital signature proves that the content of the message were signed by Mercury, and that the content have not been altered during transmission.

Sensitive documents

To protect the sending of sensitive documents, we use a highly secure encryption system using asymmetric cryptography (private and public keys). Should you need to send us a sensitive document, please download our PGP public key.

Internal system security

Harnessing our technological expertise, all of our computers and files are protected with both an internal and a perimeter security system.

The internal protection system is based on a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) which uses digital certificates to authenticate users and protect system resources.
For perimeter security, we use sophisticated protection systems such as firewalls, content filtering and advanced antivirus systems.

Secure off-site storage

To protect against the risk of a localised disaster or power failure, all of our files are backed up using an enterprise grade and securely encrypted remote backup system.
